What Is The Benefit Of A Top Fan Badge On Facebook?

This is a function which many small business just don’t ‘get’, and is pretty under-used.

If you schedule Facebook posts from your phone, did you know that you can allow your top fans to see content before anyone else?
This is a nice touch from Meta, allowing you reward your top fans, the people who share and respond and engage with you the most.
You can choose to let them see content anywhere from 20 minutes to 24 hours before everyone else.

To use this feature, create a post as normal, with your text and graphics.
Click NEXT
Click on 'Who can see your post' and enable to feature 'Early access for fans'
Then choose the time frame you want.
Then carry on to schedule as normal - job done.

You can also choose to post content ONLY to top fans.
You may wonder why you would do this - as surely you want to get your content out there in front of everyone right??
Not necessarily!
BY showing content only to your top fans, you are pretty much guaranteeing high engagement, which in turn will help with the algorithms.
The downside to this is, if you only have a couple of top fans, then you will only be speaking to a couple of people.

So if you want to be able to utilise this feature in the future in your marketing plans, then you need to raise engagement NOW!

I'm not suggesting you do this all the time, but now and again for special offers, updates etc this is a nice way to reward your most loyal followers and supporters - and are sure you post to let them know they are being given early access!
For example, I'd put a post out to say 'Special Offer available tonight for top fans only!' Or, 'Make sure you're engaging with my content to get early access to new products before anyone else!' .. hopefully that gives you an idea!
